Software Engineer ( Rails)

As a software engineer we are looking for someone who is well adapted to best practices around software engineering. Who understands the business values of the work they put in and can are equally effective in planning the engineering of the product.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work and collaborate with in a team to understand, build and deliver the business goals.

  • Collaborate with cross functional team to define, design and implement new feature to the existing application.

  • Implement third party library and API to the Application.

  • Working closely with the rest of the Engineering team

  • Not just limited to programming, right candidate must to be involved in every aspect of product development and provide genuine and better solutions than the existing one.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience of atleast 1 year with Ruby on rails.

  • Good command over software engineering processes.

  • Excellent communication and soft business skills.

  • Must be a problem solver and able to pull of fresh perspectives via computational thinking process.

  • Understand and add value to organization and its clients on steps of engineering design process.

  • Curious about learning new stuffs ( might be anything not just limited to CS technologies).

  • Plus point if experienced in building offline mobile application.

Web Designer/Front end developer


Joining the Jyaasian ranks as a Front-end developer you would be working hand in hand with startups from around the world and providing valuable inputs with your skill and perspectives towards achieving their ambitious goals. 
Job description:

  • Implement low-hi fidelity mockups into web contents using standard tools in practice by Jyaasa.
  • Help Other Jyaasians with the polishing up the interfaces they are developing.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Job requirements:

  • 1+ year experience in a Front End Developer role with examples you can share your previous work.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Familiarity with Sass or Less compilations.
  • Familiarity with javascript components and Jquery widgets.
  • Knowledge of A framework or two (Bootstrap, Foundation, UiKit, Bulma etc ).
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Needs to be able to implement the given mocks into responsive view components while working under Jyaasa's defined Frameworks and tools.
  • An understanding of SEO practices: Schema, On-page SEO, metadata etc. are plus points
  • Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

Senior Software Engineer (Rails)



  • Break down business requirement into user stories with proper descriptions.
  • Properly estimate the turnaround time of technical tasks and projects undertaken along with given/required resources.
  • Have meaningful communication with the clients and make sure the development team has proper understanding of what is to be built and when.
  • Ensure that work in day to day is being progressed using the framework defined by Jyaasa.
  • Contribute to identify and remedy any pitfalls perceived in the software development processes being followed by Jyaasa.


  • Very good understanding of Design Sprints
  • Should be involved passionately in every steps
  • Expertise in OOD processes
  • Proficient in UML
  • Must be an expert in transforming problems into viable solutions with ease.
  • Complete server provisioning
  • Provisioning tools like chef, puppet
  • Load balancing : haproxy
  • Server monitoring tools like god, monit/graphite
  • Backup mechanisms : database and server instance backups
  • Virtualization concept : docker, vagrant.
  • Should be able to choose technologies wisely like which language to use, which framework
  • Good understanding of Multiprocessing and Multithreading concepts
  • Very good concept of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Must be able to use any of the front-end frameworks
  • Ember.js, AngularJS, React, etc
  • Must be a learner and a good teacher.
  • Must have better understanding of language and frameworks used in daily basis.
  • Must be able to keep up with trends in the constantly evolving technology.
  • Must have strong understanding of web-application and server security and remedies XSS, SQL Injection, Denial-of-service attack, Arbitrary code execution, Memory corruption, CSRF, Buffer overflow, etc
  • Must have good understanding and ability to work with
  • Socket Programming, SQL, Meta Programming, etc

Employee Relations Manager



The employee relations manager is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations and staffing functions.

Essential Functions

  1. Directs and coordinates preparation of position descriptions, ensures Legal compliance and oversees job evaluations. 
  2. Administers and interprets various employee agreements, administers grievance procedures, and provides employee relations support during contract negotiations. 
  3. Acts as a liaison between directors and employees. 
  4. Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws. 
  5. Administers insurance processes, reviews liability reports, monitors operational costs and recommends policy changes to directors.
  6. Directs the development of staffing strategies. 
  7. Develops and builds hiring processes for a variety of levels from temporary staffing to executive placement. 
  8. Develops, streamlines and enhances staffing systems, tracking reporting and analysis.
  9. Leads sourcing and recruiting initiatives and processes to leverage networking and employee referrals.
  10. Handles college relations and oversees various sourcing and internship programs. 
  11. Manages relocation, immigration and other responsibilities related to staffing administration. 
  12. Ensures compliance with all employment regulations.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages all employees of the organization and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the organization.

Work Environment

This job operates in open office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


No travel is expected for this position other than occasional travel to trainings and confrences regarding skill development. 

Required Education and Experience

  1. Masters degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent level of experience, training and education.
  2. Six Months to three years of experience at a management or senior administrative level with emphasis on employee relations.
  3. Knowledge of immigration laws, company act and labour act and processes.
  4. Membership of Management Association of Nepal (MAN) Or Human Resource Society Nepal would be an added advantage.
